1933

Establishment Of Chitpavan

In the beginning of 1933, Anant Vitthal Lele suggested this Chitpavan and started serving his fellowmen by establishing an organization called Chittapavan League. Following the league, teams of Chitpawans started emerging in Pune and outside Pune.

1935-1938

Rising Of League

In 1935 Sangli industrialist Kai. Due to the donation of Vishnupant Velankar and Kai. v. no. Joshi Kempwadkar's provision of trust for industrial funds gave rise to the League. During 1936, the Executive Board was established and membership registration,Work like student assistance was started. In early 1936, the foreign name League was changed to the broader name Maharashtra Chitpawan Sangh. Constitution, rules, registration were made for legalization. On 21 December 1937, it was recognized as a registered society (No.871) under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The first regulatory body of 20 members was formed in 1938.

1939

Started Social Work

Since 1939, Chitpawan Sangh has been doing social work according to its objectives. Ganesh Govind Gore and his assistant Sitarampant Vaze worked tirelessly and brought efficiency and vitality to the organization. Fortunately, the team got such workers. B. Under the leadership of Anantrao Priviwale, G.V. Natu, Na.Ch. Natu, S.V. Joshi, C.V. Activists like Kelkar, K.K Kale, G.S.Marathe etc. started working with zeal. Membership increased, donations received. The work of the team gained speed, the scope increased. Amendments were made to the constitution over time, the objectives were made wider and more varied. Hence student aid, scholarships etc. The organization also started doing other works. A lot of relief works like honoring the meritorious people of Chitpavans, commemoration of elders, Vasantika raspan, help in works related to Chitpavans, national emergency assistance started to be carried out. Most of the collection of Kulvrittan texts and some other useful texts are preserved and used by Swabandhvas. Chitpawan bride-groom advisory board of the organization in Pune is working specially and hundreds of Chitpawans are benefiting from it

1952-1958

Organization Legally Registered

In 1952, the organization was legally registered (Bombay Public Trustee Act, 1950). (Registration No. F 21, Pune) In the same year Ka. Ganesh Vishnu Pendse and Cai. Shivram Gangadhar Gogte, two noblemen, offered two buildings owned by themselves on certain conditions.Both Gogate Wada near Nagnathpara and Pendse Bhavan opposite Sahitya Parishad on Tilak Road came under the ownership of the organization. In early 1964, Mone Wada in Limayewadi was acquired by the organization. Due to this architectural benefit, the institution became a rightful house. On April 20, 1958, the organization celebrated its silver jubilee (25th birthday) under the chairmanship of Mr. Sheth Parashurampant Ganpule. B. M. Gogate served.

2002-2007

First General Meeting

On December 5, 2002, for the first time in the history of the Maharashtra Chitpawan Sangh, a general meeting of 1000 Chitpawans was held by the famous theater and cinema actor, Savarkar Bhakt Shri. Under the chairmanship of Chandrakant Gokhale, it was carried out in a grand manner. With the efforts of then working president Haribhau Chitale, President Meeratai Pavgi, acting Shri. All the old acquaintances appreciated the meeting organized by D.Ba.Joshi and Balasaheb Sane.So on 23rd December 2007, by holding the World Congress of Chitpawans, Mr. Mr. Ashok Vaze, President. Along with Ramesh Damle and Anil Bhagwat, Sunil Ganu, Dhananjay Oak, Mukta Tilak, Vidyadhar Diwekar, Rahul Bhate and Satish Sane all took Chitpavan's unity to the global stage.Chitpawan congregation came from different countries over one lakh! A huge number of Chitpavan brothers and sisters from home and abroad, neither past nor future, participated in every program knowing their own work. The attendees saw the darshan of Sri Lord Parasurama's feet and realized the importance of active unity of Chitpavans, "Ekmeka syady Karu. Avghe Dharu Supanth". Many generous donors and officials have contributed greatly to the organization. During the post-twenty-five years, Sarvashree G.V. Natu, M.B. Grandson, V.M.Limaye, G.K. Gokhale, H.K.Joshi, V.Kr.Vaze, Ch.V. Waze, Shri.No. Special mention should be made of Chafekar et all.Also Vaman Kashinath Joglekar, MD. Joshi, G.Bh. Mehendale, A.Bha. Gore (Nagar) has also done an eye-catching job with passion. Active participation of any worker takes the team forward. Many people have contributed to this work. The institute office has a collection of gift copies of ancient rare genealogies and Chitpavan books
